David Kakabadze partner of the firm oversees all of GLP’s practice areas, including mergers and acquisitions, banking and institutional investing, acquisition finance, private equity, tax, labor, telecommunications and litigation. Mr. Kakabadze has practiced corporate law at Okruashvili & Partners and has been part of significant legal transactions. Over the last five years he has extensively practiced Labor, Corporate and Tax Law. Mr. Kakabadze has been heavily involved in the energy and power privatization process in Georgia, including dealing with the National Energy Regulatory Commission on a range of issues. Mr. Kakabadze has worked for AES Corporation as a Senior Lawyer. As a member of the Young Lawyers’ Association of Georgia, Mr. Kakabadze has assisted several programs on the rule of law in Georgia, funded by USAID and the World Bank. He is fluent in Georgian, Russian and English languages.
